Pilot is lit, but will not ignite full flame when oven is turned on?

So, that is it in the nutshell. Last night I turned on my gas oven and it took me over 1/2 an hour of turning it off, turning it back on. I see the pilot is lit and when I turn the oven knob, the flame gets a little bigger but the entire bar does not ignite into the flame it is supposed to.

Could it be a clogged pin hole? An ignitor? I have lived in mu house for 13 years and the oven was there when I bought the house, so I am not sure how old it is and perhaps it just needs to be replaced?

Im experiencing the same problem at the mo. 9/10 It's the FSD (flame supervision device). This basicaly is a gas valve which regulates the gas flow to the flame. My one cost me around £40 but this obviously depends on your make & model of your cooker. Please be aware that this should be fitted by a CORGI gas engineer. Not too sure how much they will charge tho.

Its almost impossible to get parts for cookers more than 10 years old so you may have to replace it. To order a new part. If you can see a pilot light then it MAY be a thermoelectric flame failure device, with a thermocouple. It could be that spilled food has caused the injector to be blocked. However if you have been having difficulty with the pilot also, then it may be the oven control valve is goosed.
