I have a 1995 Ford Escort and the indicators and hazzards have packed up?

I have a 1995 Ford Escort and the indicators and hazzards have packed up. Since the fuses are OK I suspect the flasher unit......But where is the flasher unit located? help me please!

Remove the lower steering column cover and the relay is attached to the base of the multi-function switch unit (the indicator).
