Mend Cold Tap Upstairs

cold tap in the sink upstairs?

the cold tap on the sink in the bathroom keeps coming on itself , like last night about 2 o clock, also somtimes if you turn the tap on in the kitchen , you will start the tap running upstairs!!! this started about 3 weeks ago. do we just need a new tap or is it somthing else

Sounds like a bad valve on the faucet. Easiest way to know for sure is to have someone knowledgable look at it or just replace it.
