what is wrong with my washing machine?

had nearly the same thing - had engineer on it - and he traced it to the under sink drain hose - no u in it to stop water and food particles entering the drain hose from the sink !!! - he lifted the hose to make a u shape secured it - did a service wash ( normal wash with powder and no clothing in the drum ) and its fine now

my washer will note spin and dry the clothes off. aggitations works fine till you get to the rinse cycle, then the machine just makes a noise, it does fill with water, but will not spin clothes dry? what seems to be the problem?

Hi it sounds like your filter is blocked this is normal found on the front of washer on the right hand side at the bottom corner at about toe hight a flap pull down to reveal a knob just twist water will come out when you do this so have a bowl or towel etc to hand withdraw the fillter and clean if this does not work you have a blocked or faulty pump .Also check to see
if there is a RINCE HOLD BOTTON or CREASE CARE BOTTON that has been pushed in by mistake either of these will stop it from spinning or pumping. Hope this helps
