How can I fix my wiring in my tank cupboard ?

I need a wiring diagram on the correct way to wire up a motorised valve, a pump and a cylinder stat as the plumber I used bypassed the valve and the stat so that onlt the pump worked and then charged a furtune for it.
I now know that the valve does not work so I need to change it. The hot water is scorching hot so I know the stat has been bypassed, I have checked to make sure. I can manually turn on the hot water but obviously there is leakage into the rads.
