hi dave, i have a hw63, and i would save my mony and go for a new programer, as on these you will find three small switches one is for the pump if it gone and packed up you could try and get one from maplins to replaces it, but dont hold your breath it will work for long, you will see on the timer bord a big ic this is the brains for this washer if its packed up then its had it and only a new bord will get it going again, however when you can get a fatory recon washer (hotpoint) for £170.00p is it worth the hasel, how old is it? an hw63 is no spring chicken, and the bearings are old, and a right pain to replace as well! so its your move now, if i was you i would very very carfully test the switch to see it its switching first befout doing any more to the pump, but be warned your working on a live machine, like 230volts ac!!!!!!! and if you fu*k up it will bite you, and the timer is in a bitch of a place to work on, if its still live!!!! you will also find out that hotpoint is very sringent with there whire like its cut only just to fit with no spere, to lift the timer out, so dont pull it to hard coz the conections will come off?
well good luck on winning,
michael thorpe
