Dyson DC04 Hard to Push Seems like too much Power?

I purchased a reconditioned one a few months back and decided this week to clean the filters, assuming they would have been done before I bought it. By the state of them it was obvious they hadn't been done for some time. Now we can hardly push it, the suction is so strong. It only affects our Berber close pile carpet, it's OK on larger pile. One of the small wheels was stuck and I freed it, but it didn't make any difference. I rang Dyson Helpline, and they had me check everywhere for blockages, bit silly as it was quite the opposite, and in the end they said there was nothong wrong with it!.
