Mend Emerson EWL20S5 20 Tv Screen

How can I fix my Emerson EWL20S5 20" TV?

When I turn on the TV I have a double/split picture (top and bottom of screen) The picture fades the longer left on and there is a delay in moving between selection ie picture set-up. I purchased the TV in Dec 2006 at Wal-Mart.

Same thing here! I bought mine in Feb of 2007. It's a shame I threw away the reciept. I am going to Walmart tomorrow to see if they will exchange it for a new one. Looks like Walmart bought a truck load of bad TV's!!!

I have the same problem, with the same set. I just spoke with Emerson Customer Support (800-256-2487, option 1) and they gave me a fax number (310-320-0571) to send a copy of my receipt, my name, address, phone number, model # and serial#, to the attention of "Fernando." They will supposedly call back within a week, have UPS pick it up, fix it at their cost, and ship it back.

I purchased mine in November, 2006.

I have EXACTLY the same problem. Started 7/1/07. Also bought our 20" TV in Dec 2006 at WalMart --- actually bought two of them and only seem to have the problem with the one we use each night for a short time. Our son's TV set is probably on more and does not have the problem at all so far.
