How do I add an additional handset to Telstra 6100A + 2 DECT?

I have purchased a Telstra 6100A + 2 DECT package and separarate 6100 Handset. How do I register the additional handset as the user manual gives no clues.

Thanks! Worked for perfect for me.

If you just want to add a handset just do the register part.

If it's not working you may need to deregister the old hansets to free up the system first.

Great site. Thanks for the help

OK Thanks to the previous information and a call to the product support number 1300 369 193 I can confirm the following;

1. With the BASE STATION:

To DEREGISTER all currently registered handsets
i) Hold down the Page button until you hear two beeps
ii) Press the Page button seven times (the in use LED will quickly flash)
iii) Hold down the page button until you hear two beeps

To REGISTER a handset to the base station
i) Hold down the Page button until you hear two beeps
ii) Register your handset (see below)

2. With the HANDSET:

To REGISTER a handset to the base station
i) Prepare the base station to register a handset (see above)
ii) Hold down the Program button until you hear two beeps
iii) Let go of the program button. You will see a - moving left to right across the display. Wait until the display says P1
iv) Press the 0 button four times (don't worry that it looks like oooo instead of 0000)
v) Press the Program button once

Note: Doing things this way I have been able to register other (non Telstra 6100) DECT handsets to the 6100a. And been able to register the 6100 handsets to other DECT base stations

Mate I stuffed mine trying.. then figured it out....yeah!!!

press base unit page button until 2 beeps.

grab phone (should be flashing dotted line) press and hold program until small dotted line starts from left to right.... after a few seconds P1- appears then press 0000 then program button once.. should work after a little jingle and your off..

repeat for all other phones... you'll get -1-, then -2-, -3- so-on.

awesome... so basically what was described but dont do the 7 pushed bit.

Cheers

Thanks. Tried your advice. My phones are now completely stuffed. Had 2 out of 3 working before. Now, can't do anything with them! Cannot re-program them, none are working.
Any ideas from anybody as to how to fix this problem?

I'm not 100% sure about this, but here goes - this is based on a recent call I made to tech support regarding a slightly different issue:

First - be infront of the base station holding the new phone in your hand. Have the new phone switched on.

Hold down the Page button on the base station until it beeps twice.

After you hear the two beeps, press the page button 7 times. The little green light will flash.

Hold down the Page button on the base station again until it beeps twice.

Grab the phone you are setting up, and hold down the program button until you see P1- on the screen

when you see P1- let go of the program button and enter 0000, then press and release the program button on the phone.

In a few moments, if that has worked, you should see the phone come online.

If that doesn't work, and you're in Australia, talk to the TecHelp line on 1300 369 193. They are only open during business hours.

Hope it helps someone.
