Telstra v850a handset reads line in use. Can't get a line?
I have tried disconnecting, replugging, and everything else I can think of. I am posting this because I fear my earlier posting wasn't as clear as it should have been. My problem is identical to Simon's post.
Our Telstra v850a had this exact same problem. In my case the issue was traced to a bad connection where the phoneline plugs into the wall socket. Turning the base unit off, fixing the connection and turning it back on again fixed it for us... Thankfully.
