Mend Snapper 1855A Engine Fire Dies

How can I fix my Snapper 1855A lawnmower with Onan engine?

It won't fire when it turns over unless it has sat for a while but then fires once and dies right away regardless of choke or throttle postion.

sounds like the fuel pump it works off vac. check the vac hose, hose is inside front cover so u will have to remove the cover(alot to take off) if line is ok then the pump itself is bad. im looken for front pto pully on mine. if u want to sell your tractor let me know at kennyndeon@yahoo.com
