E168/E131 is an ongoing issue with my Promax combi, like many others (far too many).
To date, I have had 6 visits from British Gas engineers and 4 visits from the manufacturers engineers (Heat Team).
The problem remains unresolved and I am waiting for a phone call from Heat Team this morning to advise on the time of their 5th visit, sometime today.
That means on 11 occasions I have had to take time off work.
It has reached the point where my lost income would have paid for a top of the range boiler, including installation.
Looking back at the comments on this forum I see that the E168 fault has been a problem since 2007.
That's 7 years !
Surely Baxi should have sorted out this problem before now instead of continuing to sell them knowing that after a relatively short period a problem will occur.
Luckily, I took out a Homecare contract with British Gas for an extra £250 after they had installed it, but unfortunately, it doesn't cover the lost income and there is no guarantee that todays engineer visit will be any different to the previous 10 visits !
