I'm having the same problem! Mine isn't even a year old and it's completely stopped working. It won't turn on or show up on the computer. As far as I can tell, it's a dead hunk of metal and plastic. I Googled someone on Yahoo answers experiencing the same problem... I plan on buying a new lithium battery for it.
I'm just so upset I can't stand it!! I spent so much money for what I though was a reliable mp3 player...

Hello,
I have the same issue, just up and went kerplunk. I have reset it, downloaded the newest firmware but the PC wont recognize the device. Changed out USB cords, but have not replaced the charge adapter for the device.
Ill keep checking to see if you found out anything of if anyone has more great ideas.

try re-setting it there is a tiny hole on the bottom of it stick a neddle or pin into it.
