they should be self adjusting but sometimes the adjuster seizes.take any tension off the adjustment of the handbrake cable.remove the brake drum and manually adjust the brake shoes out just enough to get the drum on tight but comfortably turning.replace drum then wheel and then take the tension up on the cable and the handbrake should be minted.
