Mend Water Tap Bottom

How can I stop my shower hose attachment from spurting out water from the b?

I have a shower diverter tap on the bath and water spurts out of the bottom when shower diverter is on. I have bought a new hose attachment but it still does it, there is a new washer on the hose - am I missing something else?!

is it come out where the hose screws on to the tap unit ?
try it with out the shower head on. the shower head is not blocked is it ?
