Hi, Had the same problem three days ago. Zanussi dishwasher 6744, the main power button indicated that there was power getting to the machine, however the programme display would not light up or respond in any way and the machine failed to work it had cut out near to the end of a cycle.

To get to the Module/pcb unit, is easy. First pull the plug out of the socket/ switch off the electricity. Open the door, at the top section of the door youll see a row of about six screws and a clearly visable divide between the top panel which contains all the on/off buttons and the rest of the door. Remove these six or so screws. This whole top section will now slide out from the rest of the door without the need to remove any other parts of the door ( you might need to gently tease it out it can be a bit fikey). Take care at this stage and dont give the panel a big tug to get it out, as all the wires are attached and theres not a lot of play in the length of them.
You should now see a whole load of wires etc. youll also see a white coloured box with lots of wires attached- this is your module/pcb. There are four small clips two each side which act as small locks to keep the unit closed, very gently lift these so they clear the small catches- take care they can be brittle, this will then give you acess to the "guts" of the module. On mine i could clearly see it had blowen- theres a blue coloured cube on the circut board this had swollen and was discoloured (slight shade of brown).
What to do next ; all of the wires that come out of the bottom of the pcb clip out with ease, dont force them, theres only one that requires a stronger tug and that the one with the blue and orange wire . They all have small notches/ grooves on them so they can only fit the gap theyve come from however take a note of where there attached to as youll need to refit it later!! Package and send to QualityElectronicrepairs.co.uk who will repair it for about £46 a give you a years warrenty on the part. This was the cheapest i could find (new pcb £90). The companys service was great sent down one day repaired the next back in my hands the day after. Refit to your machine take care to plug the wire with the blue and orange wire the right way round or the machine wont fuction!!
Happy repairs!!
