Mend Candy CP2411F/9X Free Fridge Freezer

my candy frost free fridge freezer does not get cold!?

hi can anybody help.I have a candy frost free fridge freezer model number cp2411f/9x (233 litres). I came down one morning and the freezer door had been left opened all night,from then on the fridge and freezer compartments stopped getting cold .I brought a new chip board which has the thermostat on it and a new compressor relay and still its not getting cold.I dont know what else to try please help.......

Down on the side of the compressor there is a black plastic connection box there should be 2 wires going in to it (one from mains plug (white maybe) the other comes / goes to the top control board, black maybe) unplug unit and remove cover there should be a black wire that plugs on a round thing behind the connection block get a bit of good wire and link from the brown Live to the black (this is basically the switch on wire) then power back up if the compressor fires up and stays on for 5 mins or more the fault is on the PCB control board, if it does not fire up check plug fuse if this is ok get a new fridge as the compressor aint worth touching!

Its possible you need to defrost the fridge... with the door left open would have caused the fridge to run for a long time, possibly causing ice to build up and block the cold air ducting.
