how can i fix the sound on my mp3...beacause?

i tired my headphones & then my friends but it doesnt work for either
is it broken?
it still plays the song but i just can't hear it

could be the headphone out connector need a mend
can you dismantle the mp3 player, if so have a look ath the headphone connector inside might need resoldering
