My Diplomat Washing Machine is not heating water?

Recently my washing machine has not been getting to the correct washing temperature, the clothes have often been very cold when they have been taken out, this means they do not clean well either. I checked the pipes to the inlet and it is fine. Any Ideas? Model Details: Diplomat 8512
