the gas oin the oven lights but does not go to full flame?

I think it is more likely to be the fsd(flame supervision device)as this is the valve that gets heated when the oven is switched on and after about 15 to 20 seconds opens to allow full gas.Thermostat failure usually results in t/stat not shutting down(ie burnt food).
