i have a small amount of antifreeze leaking into my footwell,no visable leak,i top up about cupful a week.

Hi
If you have antifreeze leaking into your foot well, it will be coming from heater pipes or most likely a leaking heater matrix.
The matrix is a pig to change and not something i would look forward too.
A bars leak rad sealer or similar may stop the leak but that is only a temp solution you will need to have the matrix replaced.

Sounds like heater matrix leaking. Unfortunately dashboard has to come out to do this.
