Mend Royal VF1000MX Work Auto Runs

How do I get my Royal VF1000MX to work in auto mode again?

My shredder constantly runs whenever I place it in auto mode for awhile now. When I first purchased it, it would start whenever a piece of paper, a CD, or a credit card was placed in the shredder, but now it stays on constantly. Is there a way to take it apart to clean out something so that it will work correctly again?

To repair this you will need to open the shredder and get a replace the plastic arm that activates the switch. your switch is either come loose or broke. If this is broke you will need to contact the vendor for a replacement part. Good Luck.

I have had 2 of the noted shredder either of which have lasted very long. One had the problem you state. I wish I had a good answer, but mine went back for a replacement. I currently have problems with the replacement one which does not recognize paper and does not work. It looks like this one is going back also. My advice--stay away from Royal.
