The light on my GHD's kept flickering on and off and as a consequence have stopped working on and off. I called GHD in NZ and was told would be $150.00 to look and repair with a 6mth warranty (they retail for $300 odd!). They are only 18mths old!!! Unfair? yes Reasonable? No! That is what we think! GHD are very rude and unhelpful in NZ and therefore we would like to know if anyone else can fix!! Surely they are not that difficult to fix and not for $150.00!!

Most likely cause is a fractured wire in the cord... not an uncommon problem with GHD's. Alternatively it could be your micro processor. We can replace your damaged cord, broken plate mounts or damaged plates with high quality replacement parts and bring your GHD back to life. And it won't cost you the earth. We are in Australia and to replace a cord is around the $40 mark plus a few bucks for postage to and from NZ.

maybe this a long shot, but if you feel it is worthwhile, and economically viable, I WILL REPAIR your ghd, only problem is we are in scotland,we are a reputable company, have been trading since 1978, started repairing ghd 6 months ago, do not have any problems with them, if you are prepared to trust us, we will certainly repair them and it will not cost anything like the money you have been quoted.
