How do you remove the front of a Hotpoint WD62 Washer/dryer?
I believe that yet again, an article of clothing has departed the inside of the drum and is stuck within the machine, as the belt keeps coming off. I have replaced the belt, but cannot work out how to remove the front of the machine to access the outside of the drum (which my wife tells me is what the repair man has previously done when the drum has not turned smoothly or has actually stuck).
remove the soap draw lid plastic face panel remove kick strip at bottom then the 3 screws remove the screws from door lock then the wire band holding the door seal to the front panel and then the last 3 screws holding the front panel in place.
remove the meatal clips holding the drum front in place you will have to remove the weights if a washer dryer then pull of the wires to the heater and lift the front off.
remove the item and the refit in reverse.
