I replaced points and condenser on my ts 125 and it backfires when you kick it. Can someone help me with this bike? Maybe points gap also. Thanks larry
Remove flywheel. Disconnect and insulate green wire on points. Install flywheel. Verify break in continuity between breaker points when rotating very slowly and flywheel mark and case mark align. Attach one wire from continuity device and probe other onto points and turn crank. Be patient. This adjustment is very sensitive. Remove flywheel. Attach green wire to points. Install flywheel.

Make sure your woodruff key did not shear as mine did leaving the magneto un indexed and floating.

Larry,
My Clymer manual states 0.012"-0.016".
Druideck,
I used this but the timing is out just a bit and I can't see how to rotate the magneto base to adjust it. Can I use a timing light and adjust the points to line up the marks you described and not worry about the gap?

Usually there is a mark on the flywheel and engine
that should line up just as the points break open.
The gap takes care of itself if the timing is set right.
