Mend Ford Player Bought

How do i attached a plug to the wires for the CD player?

I bought a Ford Fiesta Zetec yesterday, the people i bought it from took the radio / cassette out and left the bare wires, i want to put in a CD player, but apparently there needs to be a plug attached to the end of the wires to be able to put the cd player in. do you have any information that would help me attach the plug to the wires, maybe a wiring diagram.

please help.

hiya, what was the answer to this??
i have just bought a 1996 n reg ford mondeo ,and managed to get the old cassette player out, but the iso plug is a different shape to the one argos supplied, and argos have supplied a spare, but i havent a clue as to what the wiring colours should be, i have a key to the new wiring colours for argos, but nothing for the ford original wiring
!! can you help please!!

Thanks Steve for your reply, i do have a cd player to install but apparently to install the cd player the plu needs to be fitted to the wires first as they only way to attach the cd player is to plug them in to the wires. i am getting a plug that suits my car and i also have the cd player, a family member is going to try and install it all for me, but needs to know which colour wire goes where in the plug, according to people i have spoken to, there is 2 wires that need to be connected to the plug. i just need to know what colours go where.

Jodie - unless you already have a CD to install, places like Argos or Halfords will offer a fitting service for a small charge. This is usually predicated on the installation being straightforward (i.e original connectors in place) an auto electrician may be your best bet probably having it all sorted in no more than 30mins .

If you let me know the year I'll add the wire colourings so you can identify them yourself - you can then add an ISO type (industry standard) plug that will allow you to install pretty much any CD player. This will still involve crimping wires into the correct place.
