how to set cam timing on a 5.5 briggs mod. 10t800 type 0716?

dear sir,I have installed a new crank and the crank gear has a dot but on the cam gear it has 2 straight lines between one of the teeth and a round circle on another tooth is either on of these timing marks? thank you for your time. ps. my son purchased the mower to cut grass to make money and on the first job hit a big rock and bent the crank.in taking it apart to get the sump off the timing gear slide down on crank before i got it apart so i was not able to mark it.
