what is wrong with my car ford focus?

i have a f focus 1.4 16 v the car is just splutering whilst trying to accelerate i have had 3 garages looked at it so far all telling me it is due to a leak into the spark plug well but neither of them can fathom out were it is coming from or what is causing it any help would be appreciated

a leak of what?if its oil them ford engines tend to leak oil from the rocker cover gasket inside the plug holes which of corse runs down to the plugs.
