Mend Sony DAVS880 Dvd Player

How to fix my DAVS880 Sony DVD Player?

The DVD player is top spec so i naturally want it to work properly. The DVD player will often pause for a second, skip and continue eventhough their are no scratched or marks on the disk. Is their a way to stop this?
