My handbrake light wont go off?

I have got exactly same problem, please let me know if you sorted yours and how?

sounds as if the swich under the handbrake lever is a bit dodgy.disconnect it & see what happens.if the light comes on when u disconnect it,bridge the 2 wires together if the light goes out completly the switch is knacked.it might go out when u disconnect it,depends on which way the switch works
