hotpoint wma60 not taking in fabric softner?

After you have cleaned the holes where the water feed comes from (you can do this with an old toothbrush) and removed the loose piece from the conditioner section and clean this and the hole, you then need to clean out the channel where the condition runs down underneath the drawer as the conditioner builds up and blocks its exit into the machine. As for the build up of black stuff there isn't anything you can do about it, I have just had an engineer down he said it is due to age and build up of lime scale and you can not descale this part of the machine.

remove the loose part in the conditioner draw and make sure the holes are not blocked up
