When I power up the Laptop, The Acer Logo Appears, Then Three(3) short beeps and the unit shuts down.
I have replaced the backup battery inside, hoping this to be the problem. Not so. Any help would be great. No help from Acer website support.
Have you tried ringing Acer technical support tel:0870 8531000.
It maybe something as simply as a restore but it sounds to me like your hard-drive has blown.
I had the same fault on an Acer laptop 5 times.

Another thing to check is the power supply for your laptop. If your AC adapter is not putting out the correct voltage, your laptop will emit several beeps before shutting down because of a low battery.

Try re-seating the memory module or replace it with a known good module. The three beeps you hear is the POST (power on self-test) error code. That normally indicated defective or missing memory, but the code could be different for your laptop.
