Mend Miele T230C Years Machine

Miele T230C Dryer?

We have a Miele T230C tumble dryer. It is just over 2 years old. When the machine is turned on the anti crease/finish part of program is lit. We are not able to start any new drying program when the start button is pressed. In addition, the start button light isn't coming on. Please help

I cant get my door to open? The lock is really stiff and the button wont work. Please advise.

It is probable that the microswitch in the doorlock is worn-out. If that switch doesn't close correctly, then the program will not start. It is possible to lubricate the switch with silicon. You have to do some disassembly to get at it. And it may not solve the problem. According to Miele, you have to buy a whole new lock mechanism. But it may be possible to replace only the switch if you take the old one to a good electronics component store.
