Help my vw sharon wont start AGAIN?

It's a v reg 2l vw sharon,,It was fine last night. Got in it 2day and it just wont start, it's kind of trying to turn over, a couple of days ago nearly all the exterior lights went out, indicator, front headlight, brakelight, put new bulbs in but the brake light is still playing up, It happened after i had gone through a small puddle so not sure if it has something to do with that,,,, Ihad a problem a few months ago WHILE DRIVING it just cut out on a main busy road and i had my children with me. It nearly caused an accident. The car wouldn't start then either, all the interior lights started flashing an clicking, i had to get a friend out and he said the immobiliser was on but they couldn't get it off( u have to put the key in passenger side door an turn or something to get it off) or reset it, Anyway i haven't got a clue and this time i have no help,,It's not the batt I've had some jump leads on it. Any help would be appreiciated,, Neisha.
