There is not a"float switch". This machine has a pressure switch to set the water level (air operated). Sounds like your water valve has "locked out" to prevent flooding. This is also pneumatically operated. If you have had this replaced, it should have worked at least once!. The water pressure applied to the diaphragm holds it in the shut off condition. Remove water pressure, bang-thump valve, hey-presto;ACTIVE DISHWASHER!. your air chamber sounds bunged up! are you plumbed into a sinktrap?. Threre is a cure for this, a pressure switch update, which is available from electrolux service. It is fitted to later models and is retrofittable. If you are King u can do it in 45 mins. Your wife would love u if it took hours!.
