Mend Worcester Bosch 24CDi Boiler Noise Vent

Why is my Worsester 24CDi is making a noise and plastic edging is warped?

The boiler is making a noise when the hot water is switched on and the plastic edging, underneath the boiler has warped. In addition, the vent at the top shows sign of black soot. What could be the problem?

sounds like a problem with the flue maybe being installed incorrectly. Take no chances with this one get a corgi engineer in asap.
