nissan primera heater only working on number 4 , why ?

you have a heater resister on your air box behind the glove box at the bottom, it should have 4 wires going into it and 2 screws each end. remove it and you will probably find on the board onit the soldered joints have dried up. you can either repair it yourself or get someone good with a soldering iron to do it but remove old solder clean contacts and re solder, refit before testing as the board gets red hot and relies on the air passing to keep cool. will just burn out if you dont. have dont this to my car 5 months ago and worked fine since.
