Please can someone tell me where I can get a part for this as I have been advised by a washing machine engineer that it needs a new Timer and the cost is almost the same as a new machine! I suspect they are trying to rip me off as the labour charge to fit it is nothing so they are saying it will cost £193 (only £16 labour).
Paul: did you get a resolution of your problem?
Mike: What filter? There is an access port for checking/clearing the the pump but there is no filter and the User Manual makes no mention of a filter.
My problem (with an aunt's machine) sounds identical. Turning the knob to the 'E' in SYNTHETIC gets the pump to empty the drum so there is nothing wrong with it.
