how can I fix my compaq presario 700 laptop?

the lcd screen keeps closing and will not stay open. The hinges need to be tighter.

Try to give more details on the topic its faster to respond and help, as for your question the hinges that the presario has are sealled systems, onece they are loose they will keep loose, there are no adjustments available, the only way to fix this is finding the hinges, try ebay there are allways some available, be carefull to search for hinges for your exact model, as there are several models of hinges.
