Mend Heating Pump Tank

Help?

I have had a new pump fitted and it is now pumping hot water into my header tank in the attic which I have noticed happening before can you tell me if this is right, the reasin I had a new pump fitted was because we were not getting any heating in the downstairs rads, but for some reason I dont think
this set up is right.Please help me.

Make sure the pump is pumping in the correct direction, if it is,you will have to reduce the flow,usually by turning a 3 position switch on the pump.
