Two recent problems with mine: (1) boiler overheating and cutting out, traced to sludge accumulation in system and poor water circulation (solution - use sludge cleanser and flush system); and (2) failure to ignite, caused by cracked insultation on spark igniter wire. N.B. safety warning issued by HSE about these boilers, HSE Safety Notice 00/16, concerning possible dangers of delayed ignition. Turns out it was the fan that had packed up which meant it wasn't generating the energy needed to ultimately activate the ignition.

check you have water in the system and pumps working as that was the trouble with mine....no water and the pilot light will not light
