The clock is fixed by two screws which I found were quite inaccessable through just the radio apature. I believe the only way to remove and replace the unit is as follows:
Remove radio by inserting 4 dowels ( drills ) into front fascia holes pull gently via cassette slot If you disconnect the radio completely you will need the code but it is possible to leave the radio connected to the loom and still gain sufficient access
Remove the plugs and 'Pop' out the heated window and hazard switches from behind , these can be very tight on their spring clips and the little slots on the switches are not suitable for prying
Undo the now visible screws (3) which attach the console to the dash and remove also the two screws either side of the centre console ( by your legs )
If the car has a centre arm rest remove the coverplate in the well under the hand brake and remove the two M6 bolts, then from the back of the car remove the two side screws at the rear of the armrest which are located near the rear ashtray
The armrest can now be moved back as far as the wiring loom allows but this will give enough space for the front console to be pulled away from the dashboard
Use a small posi-drive to undo the two screws that hold the clock assy, remove the loom and it will come away easily
eBay is the best bet for a replacment. About £30 is the going price for a new item. Do make sure you get the right clock as on the base models there is no radio feature ( Just a clock )
N.B The radio won't work without the clock module fitted
Good Luck
