First check the brake fluid level, if it is low the hydraulic clutch release bearing seals have failed. Also look for signs of fluid leaking from between the lower part of gearbox, next to engine oil sump. The suspension has to be lowered along with the steering rack assembly to remove the gearbox. Not a job for the faint hearted... Best of luck...
