notchy first gear?

Notchy 1st gear now fixed.

drained gearbox of all 3.4 litres of oil (original factory fill) and refilled with 2.2 litres (Vauxhall revised quantity), gear selection much improved.
Adjusted gear linkage and 1st gear now ok.

sounds like gear lever wants adjusting if it wont select 1st with engine off!

I can't see it being a faulty clutch, what can go wrong with them?
I replaced clutch kit and DMF with identical makes and part numbers. Sachs DMF and LUK 3 piece clutch kit, purchased from Europarts.
I'm thinking air is trapped in the system somewhere, I've bled by pumping pedal and an Ezy bleed kit.
Going to leave it over night and let it settle and bleed it again tomorrow.

Usually no adjustment on concentric slave cylinders,if gear selection was ok in 1st before your clutch replacement then it suggests problems with your new clutch and 1st port of call would be to give it another bleed,have seen just opening bleed screw and let gravity do the job for you work quite often,then try with someone operating pedal,try pumping the pedal three or four times,hold the pedal down and open bleed screw,try this a few times then if you think there may still be air in the system a pressure bleeder may be required,lastly it wouldn`t be the 1st time a new clutch is at fault,good luck.Post on here and let us know how you get on.
