high fuel consumption?

i have a vauxhall vectra 1996 2L sri and it seems to be very high on fuel consumption its a five speed manual ive had an sri before but it didnt drink that much fuel please help

how far are you getting out of your tank make sure your air filter is clean no blocks plugs ok auto chockegoing off when warm need to know is it serviced latley
