engine check light came on after changing spark plugs?

light was not on at first .for first 8miles .do i need to reset computer

Did you put back the ht leads the exact way they came off.Firing order on them i think is 1342 but please check in haynes or garage.Maybe two leads wrong way around

If the light has come on after fitting the plugs it would be fair to suspect them

1 try fitting some better plugs ( autolite ??? ) if possable orignal ford ones

2 you may have a faulty plug lead again replace with good quality leads

Atford we use silicon grease in the plug leads..
