How can I fix my Reverse Lights on my 96 Fiesta LX (Newer shape)?

First of all, thanks for such a quick response.
Does the Connector look like a square with a Ford Logo and a arrow pointing towards the front bumper?
If so, I think I know where you mean.

the switch is mounted at the front of the gear box as you look down at the engine gearbox under the bonet.
there is a push down clip on the connector then pull it off
you can bridge the conector with a paper clip turn the ign on if the rest of the electrical system is ok the reverse ights will come on &m the fault is on the switch

to remove the switch use a spanner to un do it its on a thred in the box then screw in a new switch & replace any lost oil
then press on the wiring conector.
