RENEW CORD IN SHOWER SCREEN
Tools and materials required.
1. Philips No. 2 screwdriver. Select one with narrow handle.
2. Gas lighter or box of matches.
3. At least a 1 metre length of 2.5mm venetian blind cord.
4. Pair of leather gloves.
5. Small step ladder about 1 metre height.
6. 45cm length of 1.5mm wire with a small hook bent in one end.

1. Melt each end of the cord with the gas torch and using gloves draw ends out to a point.
2. Lift the top cover of the shower screen.
3. Loosen the end cap on the end sliding panel where the cord runs through.
CAUTION: DO NOT remove the screw. The frame around the glass will come apart.
4. Push the ends of the cord UP through the loosened cap.
5. The end which is on the inside go to the LEFT. The end on the outside goes to the RIGHT.
6. At this point, make sure the cap is in the middle of the length of the cord.
7. When both ends of the cord are the same length, re-tighten the screw. The screw will tighten on the cord.
8. Loosen both end caps on the centre panel. DO NOT remove the screws.
9. Push the cord through the top holes on both ends of panel from the front.
10. Use the wire hook to help with the cord.
11. Loosen the cap on the fixed panel.
12. Push both ends of the cord from the front to the back through the top holes on the cap.
13. Pull tight and tie in a knot.
14. Cut the surplus cord about 15cm from the knot and seal the ends again with the gas torch.
15. Lay the surplus cord along the tack to keep it tidy.
16. Replace cover and SMILE.
