I have a 2000 ford ranger, and the airbag light blinks one time slowly after the truck is turned on then nine aditional times at a faster pace. From there it will just start over again with the one slow and the nine fast again. I have done some reserch and found that it could possibly be the clock sping. I need to know what the clock spring is and if that really is what the problem is?
clockspring is in the steering column; clockspring electriclly connects the power to the airbag itself; there is also a module on the hump (directly under the radio) close to the dash, that might have gone bad.
