immobiliser on Clio Diesel?

i cannot start my renault megane 1.9d 1996 the immobiliser light wont turn on hense cannot start the engine the car was parked for 4 months rac man says the immobillser problem please can you help.

yeahh its a very simple problem with all clio's.. on the starter motor there is a small black clip just push that in and push rest rest of the wires in and your sorted. best advice is get a small piece of wire and push it into that clip and the refit the clip so the current flow is back to normall

while key is in ignition hold button in wile turning key may afto try few times but works

Hi i had that problem and the fault was the key, i had to buy a new one for £170 do u have a spare one, if not ring up a renault garage
